Halving method

Put a sheep-gut over this tool from the tip,
soaking it into water

Nip both sides with clips

Cut here

Be sure to cut at the center of wires,
not just the center of the clips

Sort it into 2 kinds, smooth and non-smooth

You can leave it like this for a while
without it shrinking and tangling
